Helen Bell Profile

“Horses are my passion I don’t know where it came from as I have come from a non-horsey family learning to ride at the local riding school . I love every aspect of training horses. Working with them just about covers every emotion including love, heart break, joy, frustration and reward all rolled into one !! “

From Non-Horsey Beginnings

Helen started-riding at 10 years old and after convincing parents to buy her a pony she joined the Pony Club. Subsequently representing the Bramham Moor PC in all disciplines.

She rode as an amateur jockey on the flat as well as riding in point-to-points while she was competing on the junior event circuit. Finally eventing took over when she was 18 and she went on from there.

“I read all of Lucinda Greens books and she inspired me to have a go after reading “Four Square” a tribute to 4 of her horses.”

Helen went on to 6 top ten placings at Badminton and Burghley, winning Bramham Young riders U21 Championships. In addition, she represented GB at World and European Championships all on home produced horses .
