The Team

Breckenbrough is lucky to have a strong home team which enables us to manage and maintain top quality training and horse trials facilities.

Helen Bell

Helen organises the events with the help of the great team at Breckenbrough in the background, especially for the BE event held in April.  She coaches many under 18 and grassroots riders, helping them to plan, implement and achieve their goals.

John Nolan

On competition days Johnny is a familiar friendly-face managing the parking; however, on normal working days he covers just about any job.  He has built many of the XC fences you are jumping when you come to Breckenbrough. He has worked here for over 40 years including Breckenbrough’s racing days with Jack and Linda Ramsden.

Charlie Dennis

Charlie Dennis is a successful 4 star rider and producer of young horses. She belies her years with her experience riding and producing horses . Charlie is a great asset to Breckenbrough as a Coach and a rider . She is also training as a Sports Massage therapist so watch this space for her new page coming shortly . To follow her go to her Facebook page: CD Equestrian

Rebecca Rowell

Becca has been here working with the horses at Breckenbrough since February 2020.  On competition days she is the friendly face in the collecting ring when you come to our unaffiliated events.

Jockey John Brewis

John is as the name suggests an ex-jockey. He is willing to put his hand to anything work wise and is always full of fun and keeps us all smiling. The North East accent in the collecting ring is a very recognizable feature as to who he is!

Bella – the Lurcher – is very speedy and regularly slinks off hunting stressing us all out as we run around looking for her.

Spud – the Jack Russell – home bred and born 2003. The whole yard comes to a standstill when he goes wandering. He has a hoof shaped scar on his face after a good belt from a horse!

Ellie – (fat) spaniel – is the playful one! Helen is never far away when you see Ellie.

Kiwi – Red Lab – new addition to the family in 2020.
