Helen has helped me find both of my International event horses.
When I moved onto horses in 2015, Helen was instrumental in helping me decide what sort of horse I was ready to move onto. She found Kidogo and arranged for me to have the first viewing of him. Helen understood that I needed a confidence-giving horse, who was experienced enough to take me up the levels; and, most importantly one that I would have fun. Kidogo was exactly the right horse! Kidogo and I went on to ride at both Junior and U18 National Championships. We were also selected to compete on the GB Youth Development Squad.
In 2016, I decided to look for a second horse, which would be younger than Kidogo but have the potential to jump around the 3* tracks. Helen rightly pointed out that if I were to ride two horses while studying, I would need two horses of similar build and temperament to ease the transition.
Helen and I travelled to Ireland where she had arranged for us to see ten horses. This gave me experience riding event and show jumping horses of all ages and experiences to give me the best chance of finding my perfect next horse. Helen’s knowledge of producing and selling event horses gave me confidence throughout this experience. In addition to Helen having the contacts to find potential horses across the UK & Ireland, she knew what to look for and what questions to ask. With Helen’s support we bought Finnegan during this trip and she then helped me build a partnership with him over the years to come. Finnegan and I have gone on to place at Intermediate and contest CCI3*.
Helen doesn’t just find you a horse: she tailors the search to fit your goals and experience, as well as helping you to build a partnership with your new horse.
